Richard and Bing Boettner have served with the Rock Port Baptist Church since 2008. Richard served as associate pastor and music director until 2012 when he became the pastor of the church. They currently reside in Rock Port after moving from Maryville during the summer of 2021.
Richard serves the church as a bi-vocational/co-vocational pastor. He also works on his family farm north of Rock Port where he grew up. He has worked as vocal music accompanist for NWMSU and Maryville High School. He currently serves as an accompanist with Rock Port Schools. He is also an accomplished piano technician and teacher. He holds a BS degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Music Education.
Bing is a helpful wife who serves as a Sunday school teacher and Bible study leader for the women of the church. She is a Registered Nurse by profession, with a BS degree in nursing. She was employed by the Northwest Technical School in Maryville as a teacher in Health Science Technology. She is retired from teaching with the Public School Retirement System (PSRS) in the state of Missouri. She is currently working part-time at Tarkio Tech.
They have one grown daughter Ruth Ann who lives in Kansas City.
